STEP 01

Tell me your story.
Start by filling out the enquiry form and telling me a little about yourself, who you'd like photographed and what you have in mind.
You don't need to have everything figured out yet — that's what the next step is for.
Little tip: If you have a particular date, location or idea in mind, include it in your enquiry.
STEP 02

Let's make a plan.
Once I've received your enquiry, we'll chat about what you're imagining and choose the Degotardi collection that suits you best.
We'll talk location, timing, who'll be there and anything particularly important you'd love captured.
Little tip: Save any inspiration you're drawn to, but don't worry about recreating somebody else's photographs. We'll make something that feels like you.
STEP 03

Make it yours.
Once your date is secured, we'll start preparing for the session.
I'll help with location ideas, timing and what to wear, and you can tell me about the people I'm going to photograph.
Little tip: Choose clothes you feel comfortable in rather than buying something simply because you think it will “photograph well.”
STEP 04
STEP 05
STEP 06

Picture time.

Your photographs, carefully finished.

Keep them close.
This is the easy part.
Turn up, take a moment and let me guide you. You don't need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands — I'll give you direction when you need it and leave space for the natural moments in between.
Little tip: Don't aim for perfect. Movement, laughter, wind, children being children and the unexpected often make the photographs you'll love most.
After our time together, I'll begin selecting and editing your photographs in the Degotardi style.
I don't offer sneak peeks — I'd rather you experience your photographs together once the story is complete.
Your expected delivery timeframe will be confirmed when you book.
Little tip: Make an evening of opening your gallery. Put the kettle on, pour something nice and enjoy seeing everything for the first time.
Your finished photographs will arrive in a private online gallery, ready to download, share and keep.
And if there are photographs you don't want living only on your phone or computer, I can help point you towards local printing and framing options.
Little tip: Print at least one.
Because photographs have a funny way of becoming more valuable as the years pass.
FAQ
Do you travel for photoshoots?
Absolutely. Degotardi Imagery is based in Mildura, but I’m always happy to travel for the right story.
Travel within Mildura and the surrounding area is included where specified. For sessions further afield, additional travel and accommodation costs may apply and will always be discussed with you before booking — no unexpected extras.
What should we wear for our session?
Wear something that feels like you.
I recommend choosing pieces you feel comfortable and confident in, with colours and textures that complement each other rather than perfectly match. Neutral, earthy and softer tones photograph beautifully, but personality will always matter more than following a rule.
Once you book, I’m happy to help you plan what to wear.
How long does it take to get our photos?
Good photographs deserve a little time.
Your final gallery will generally be delivered within 4–6 weeks, depending on the type of session. Weddings and larger celebrations may take a little longer, and your expected timeframe will always be confirmed when you book.
I don’t offer sneak peeks — I prefer to deliver your story when it’s complete.
Do you offer albums or prints?
I don't currently offer albums, but I believe photographs deserve to live somewhere beyond a screen.
If you'd like to turn your images into something tangible, I can guide you towards trusted local options for professional printing and custom framing, including Picture Parlour and Prints Charming here in Mildura.
I’m also happy to help you choose which photographs, sizes and finishes might work beautifully in your home.
WHAT IF I’M AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?
You don’t need to know how to pose — that’s my job. I’ll gently guide you when needed, while leaving plenty of room for things to unfold naturally. You don’t need to perform for the camera. Come as you are, and we’ll take it from there.
HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
Start by sending through an enquiry and telling me a little about what you have in mind. Once we’ve chosen the right collection and confirmed a date, I’ll send through everything you need to make it official. Your booking is secured once the required booking payment and agreement are completed.
CAN I CUSTOMISE A PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGE?
Absolutely. My collections are designed as a starting point, not a set of rules. If you need additional time, another location or something a little different, tell me what you’re imagining and we can create something that suits you.
CAN WE CHOOSE THE LOCATION?
Of course. If you already have somewhere meaningful in mind, I’d love to hear about it. Otherwise, I can help suggest locations based on the light, season and feeling you’d like for your photographs.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Not every beautiful photograph needs perfect weather. Clouds, wind and changing light can create some of my favourite images. If the weather becomes unsafe or genuinely unsuitable for your session, we’ll talk through our options and arrange another plan where necessary.
CAN WE BRING OUR CHILDREN OR PETS?
Absolutely — they’re part of your story too. Just let me know beforehand so we can choose a location and plan the session with everyone in mind.
DO WE GET TO CHOOSE OUR PHOTOS?
This one depends on how you want to run your packages. If your packages include a set number of images, I’d say:
“Once your gallery is ready, you’ll be able to choose the photographs included in your collection. If you fall in love with more, additional photographs or the full gallery can be purchased.”
WILL OUR PHOTOGRAPHS BE SHARED ONLINE?
I love sharing the photographs I create, but I also respect that some moments are private. How your images may be used will be outlined as part of the booking process, and you’re always welcome to talk to me about your preferences.
WHAT IF WE HAVE AN IDEA THAT DOESN’T FIT ONE OF YOUR COLLECTIONS?
Please tell me about it.
Not every photograph needs to fit neatly into a category. If you have an idea, a person, a place or a moment you want to preserve, send it my way. Some of the most interesting photographs begin with something a little different.
